Giclee Fine Art Printing Process
The giclee process is an evolution
of the European craft of printmaking.
Each print is produced one at
a time and requires more than
one hour of extensive handwork
to produce a perfect piece. A
giclee is very difficult to distinguish
from an original work of art.
Communication and direction from
the artist insures that the final
print is a true reproduction
of the artistís intent. One of
the reasons for the superior
print quality is that the giclee
process produces an astounding
assortment of more than 6 million
dynamic highly saturated ink
colors. The ink is sprayed onto
specially selected archival paper.
Giclee prints are now widely
shown and distributed from galleries
and art studios to the walls
of the Louvre. All of the paintings
displayed in the Gallery were
originally created in oils or
pastels and can be currently
purchased as a giclee print.
